Can GSC show which prompts trigger AI visibility?

Not in the current dedicated Generative AI report. Google's published dimensions include pages, countries, devices, dates, and impressions, but not conversational prompts or queries. Dedicated AI prompt monitoring is still required for prompt-level visibility analysis.

Can Google Search Console data be used for AI Search optimization?

Yes. Search Console query, page, impression, click, CTR, and country data can provide first-party evidence about existing search demand. When combined with AI visibility data, it can help prioritize prompts, content gaps, pages to optimize, and existing traffic that deserves protection.
