Software Engineer, Infrastructure — Reliability, Scale & Platform Foundations

Upcoming Role · Remote (USA or Europe)

The way information is discovered online is changing quickly. AI-generated answers are influencing what gets surfaced, how brands are represented, and which sources are used across search and discovery environments. Ansvisor helps organizations understand that visibility and act on it with more precision.

As the product, data, and compute demands behind that work grow, infrastructure becomes increasingly important. We anticipate opening a Software Engineer, Infrastructure role to help build and maintain the systems that support reliability, scalability, deployment, and operational efficiency across the platform.

This role will focus on the foundations that allow product and data systems to run well under increasing load and complexity. We’ll be looking for someone who can improve how infrastructure is provisioned, monitored, secured, and scaled — and who is comfortable working closely with engineering, product, and data-related teams to support evolving workload demands.

This is a strong fit for someone who likes making systems more dependable, more efficient, and easier for other engineers to build on.

About the Role

This role will likely sit at the center of how Ansvisor runs production systems reliably. You’ll work on cloud infrastructure, deployment workflows, observability, system performance, and the operational foundations that support both customer-facing product and internal data or AI workloads.

You may work across:

  • Cloud infrastructure design and maintenance
  • Infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
  • Monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
  • CI/CD workflows and release reliability
  • High-availability planning and disaster recovery readiness
  • Performance tuning across compute, storage, networking, and databases
  • Security practices and infrastructure hardening
  • Cost-awareness and infrastructure efficiency

This is not a narrow support role. We’ll be looking for someone who can help shape infrastructure decisions and improve the platform as the company scales.

What We’ll Likely Look For

We’re interested in people who combine strong infrastructure fundamentals with practical engineering judgment.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have experience building and maintaining production infrastructure in cloud environments
  • Are comfortable using infrastructure-as-code to make systems more repeatable and reliable
  • Understand observability, incident prevention, and how to improve operational visibility
  • Know how to design for scale, reliability, and efficient resource usage
  • Are comfortable with containers, orchestration, and modern deployment workflows
  • Can identify bottlenecks and improve performance across core infrastructure layers
  • Understand security best practices and take operational risk seriously
  • Work well with product, platform, and data-focused engineers to support changing technical needs

We’ll value someone who is methodical, dependable, and able to improve the systems that everything else depends on.

What You’d Be Expected to Do

While this role is not open yet, we expect responsibilities to include:

Infrastructure and Platform Engineering
  • Designing, maintaining, and improving core infrastructure across cloud environments
  • Supporting the systems that power application, data, and AI-related workloads
  • Building infrastructure that can scale with growth in traffic, compute demand, and product complexity
  • Improving platform reliability while keeping operational overhead manageable
Automation and Deployment
  • Building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code workflows
  • Improving deployment processes to make releases more reliable and repeatable
  • Supporting CI/CD systems that help engineering teams move quickly with confidence
  • Reducing manual operational work through better automation and tooling
Reliability and Observability
  • Improving monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting across critical systems
  • Strengthening incident response readiness and operational visibility
  • Supporting high-availability planning, backup practices, and disaster recovery considerations
  • Helping establish stronger reliability standards as the platform grows
Performance, Security, and Efficiency
  • Identifying and addressing bottlenecks across compute, storage, networking, and database layers
  • Improving infrastructure performance and cost efficiency over time
  • Implementing security best practices and helping maintain a strong operational posture
  • Supporting scalable architecture decisions with attention to risk, resilience, and maintainability
Cross-Functional Engineering Support
  • Working closely with product engineering, data, and AI-related teams to support workload-specific needs
  • Helping teams make sound architectural trade-offs as systems evolve
  • Contributing to a stronger platform foundation that makes development faster and safer across the company

You Might Be a Fit If…

You care about reliability

You like building systems that hold up under real-world load and failure conditions.

You think in systems

You understand how deployment, observability, networking, compute, and application behavior all connect.

You value automation

You look for ways to make infrastructure more repeatable, less fragile, and easier to manage over time.

You’re performance- and cost-aware

You know that infrastructure quality is not just about uptime — it also involves speed, efficiency, and sensible trade-offs.

You like enabling other engineers

You’re motivated by building platform foundations that make the rest of the engineering organization more effective.

Likely Requirements

We expect this role to be best suited to someone with:

  • Experience working on cloud infrastructure in production environments
  • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or similar
  • Comfort with container-based workflows and orchestration systems
  • Experience with CI/CD, observability, and production reliability practices
  • Strong engineering judgment around performance, scalability, and operational risk
  • The ability to work independently in a remote role across the USA or Europe

Strong Signals

These are not strict requirements, but they would stand out:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern container orchestration patterns
  • Experience supporting high-throughput or compute-intensive systems
  • Experience with database scaling, optimization, or reliability work
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling in production systems
  • Experience with security hardening, access controls, or compliance-oriented infrastructure work
  • Familiarity with data or ML workload infrastructure in addition to standard application systems
  • Experience in early-stage or fast-scaling engineering environments

Why This Role Matters

Ansvisor is building systems that depend on reliable infrastructure across product, data, and AI-related workflows. As usage grows and technical complexity increases, the quality of the underlying platform becomes a bigger part of how quickly and safely the company can move.

The person in this role would help build that foundation. Their work would influence system reliability, deployment quality, infrastructure efficiency, and the overall engineering velocity of the company.

This is an opportunity to shape the platform layer behind a product operating in a fast-changing technical environment.

Role Status

This is an upcoming role, not an actively open position today. We’re sharing it because we expect it to become an important hire as the company grows, and we’d like to hear from people who may be a strong fit when the time comes.

Location: Remote
Regions: USA or Europe
